Biochanics was created to meet the growing need for inventive and resourceful project-based strategic management and general business operations consulting.

Biochanics was envisioned in 2011 by Laura Gillies shortly after she completed training in business development through the UC Davis Graduate School of Management Child Family Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a Ph.D. in food science/biochemistry. Dr. Gillies’ passion for helping businesses become more efficient and effective stems from her involvement in several start-up companies beginning when she was a graduate student at UC Davis and continuing today.
